Deleting your LRO account and data

Last updated: 2026-07-23

This page explains how to delete your LRO (Link for Remote Operations) account and the data associated with it. The procedure is the same for the web dashboard and for the LRO Agent and LRO Terminal mobile apps — they all use the same account.

1. How to request deletion

Send an email to info@lro.link with the subject "Account deletion" from the email address the account is registered to, and include your account username.

Requests sent from any other address are not carried out: confirming ownership of the registered address is the only way to be sure the request comes from the account owner.

4. What is retained, and why

Some records cannot be deleted on request — they are kept because the law requires it or to resolve disputes, in line with section 5 of the Privacy Policy:

CategoryRetentionBasis
Payment history and accounting recordsas required by the tax law of the applicable jurisdiction (typically 5 years)legal requirement
Account data inside backupsup to 90 days, then destroyed on the rotation scheduletechnical retention, dispute resolution
Server component logsup to 30 dayssecurity and diagnostics

Tunnel contents are never stored by the Operator: traffic between Agents is end-to-end encrypted, and the server relays it without being able to read it.

5. Data that only ever lives on your device

LRO Terminal stores SSH profiles, passwords, private keys and known-hosts entries on the device only, encrypted, and never sends them to the Operator. Deleting your account does not affect them — to erase them, uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.

6. Crash reports

The mobile apps send crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS and app version) to the Sentry diagnostics service. These reports contain no IP addresses or user identifiers and are not linked to your account — see Annex A of the Privacy Policy.
